About CognaAura

An Ecosystem of Mental Health

In nature, nothing exists on its own. An ecosystem thrives because every part affects every other part. Mental health works the same way: your medication, sleep, body, routines, and relationships are all connected, and a change in one shows up in the others.

CognaAura is built around that idea. Each condition has its own ecosystem, a distinct natural world with its own identity, patterns, and tools designed to work together. Our first is ADHD, represented by the ocean: always moving, full of currents, and far deeper than it looks from the surface.

Within each ecosystem, the tools help you capture what's happening in your own environment, so you can walk into appointments with your experience clearly documented and your provider can see the full picture in the time you have together.

Our purpose is to give patients a voice. The Adult ADHD Provider Appointment Toolkit is where the ocean begins, and more ecosystems are on the way.

Created by a nurse. Designed to give patients a voice.

CognaAura was founded by Sandra Faeth, RN, drawing on 30 years of critical-care nursing experience and ongoing psychiatric nurse practitioner education. Its resources bring that healthcare perspective to practical tools for organizing health information and preparing for provider conversations.

The thoughtful design serves a purpose: making important information easier to record, revisit, and communicate.

CognaAura tools are educational and organizational resources designed to support conversations with qualified healthcare professionals, not to replace care. They are not diagnostic tools or a replacement for individualized care.
